Weekly Wishes

February 10, 2014

weeklywishes2Hi, you guys! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend– mine went by way too quick! Does anyone else feel that way? Here’s to crossing our fingers that this next weekend comes up fast! Last week, my wishes were to start a new book, play catch-up with work and do another kettlebell workout. Check, check and check! I started reading Where’d You Go, Bernadette and love it so far! I’ve also squeezed in some time for a couple kettlebell workouts and have been very on-top of work.

This week, my Weekly Wishes are:

  • Think-up something special for Valentines Day/my and G’s 5-year anniversary (on the 18th)
  • Go to a yoga class or two.
  • Choose my battles.

What are your goals for the week, my friends?

  • http://lulug1975.blogspot.co.uk/ Louisa @ My Family & Abruzzo

Well done on doing your kettlebell workouts! I’ve kept up The Shred. Boy it’s hard, but weirdly fun! : )

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Thanks, Louisa! It’s INCREDIBLE that you’ve kept up with The Shred!! You go, girl!

  • Alisia

Nothing better than a yoga class (or two)! It helps me relax while still helping me tone, I need to get back into yoga and being healthy. I’m such a sucker for crappy foods/lazy days when it’s cold outside.

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

I totally agree, Alisha! My breathing techniques that I learned actually helped me fall asleep last night.lol. And I totally feel ya on the cold weather! It’s so easy to fall into a slump when it’s bitter outside!

  • http://livingwhatyoulove.com/ Robyn Petrik

Nice work on the kettlebell workouts!! That’s actually one of my goals this week. I just bought a kettlebell again, and am looking to back into it. Good luck this week!

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Thanks, Robyn– I’m excited that you bought one! We can keep each other motivated :) hope you have an amazing week!

Ohhhhh, that last one about choosing your battles is AWESOME, because well….everyone could do well with a bit more discernment. I have a tendency to rush straight into things and I know that if I had more will power on when and when NOT to go into battle my life would be all the more better.

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Totally agree, Crystal!! I tend to rush head-first into every little problem I see. Not because I focus on the negative, just because I try to be SO POSITIVE that I want all of the negatives immediately fixed and made better…it’s hard to remember that sometimes not bringing it up and letting the little things slide is the best remedy.

  • http://bitsofdays.com/ Zia @ Bits of Days

Wow it’s awesome that you’ve stayed with the same person that long! My boyfriend and I are not so much into celebrating any couple-event out there… I guess this Valentine it’s going to be the same haha. Would love to do something outdoor together but it’s still too cold!

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Awe, thanks, Zia! We love the outdoors too, but we live in Phoenix where the weather doesn’t get in our way all too often. Still- the winter can be tough!

CHOOSING BATTLES!!!! That is a hard one, but will be so beneficial as well – I’m sure! :-)

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

      Definitely!!

  • http://www.beertimewithwagner.wordpress.com/ Jordan Beck Wagner

Ahhhh such good wishes for this week! Not so much choosing my battles but for me, choosing what I stress about in life. I stress way too much and need to choose what I stress about more wisely. I also totally need to get back into yoga…it is just so EXPENSIVE in Europe and my town only has 1 studio! I am going home for 6 weeks next week so I can’t wait to go to yoga almost every day :) Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!!!

    xoxoxo Jordan

Thanks, Jordan! I hope you enjoy your yoga downtime :)

  • http://aliberlinski.com/ Ali @ a beautiful mess

Choose your battles, such a great goal. I think I’m constantly learning how to do it. It’s not easy and so I completely understand why it’s one of your wishes. Hope you have a great week full of yoga and romance ;)

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

It definitely isn’t so easy! Thanks for the well wishes, beautiful!

I love kettlebells. Do you go to a class or do you do it at home? My old gym had an amazing kettlebell class but I’ve changed gyms now and they don’t have one so I’m thinking about getting a home workout DVD.

Looking forward to seeing what you think up for Valentine’s Day!

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

I do them at home because I can’t find a class ANYWHERE. I’ve been doing workouts I find on Youtube and they’re actually working me really well!

      • http://www.thetravelhack.com The Travel Hack

I think I need to get myself a kettlebell and get on YouTube!

  • http://mrsgaeul.com/ Autumn

Aww! My 5 year anniversary is on Valentine’s Day. Good luck planning for your special day!

      How exciting. Happy Anniversary, Autumn!
