Beginner Green Juice Recipe

For Christmas, I received something I have been wanting forever. No, not a diamond ring, a Land Rover or an expensive purse…a juicer. Okay, yeah, so I’m a nerd, so what? I was so excited to give it a try and when I did, it didn’t disappoint! I bring to you the first (of what will without a doubt be many) incredible juice recipes! This one? A green juice sensation.

GREEN JUICE
What You’ll Need:

  • 3 Green Apples
  • 1 English Cucumber
  • 2-3 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 1 Lemon

Put them all in the juicer and voila! You have an amazing juice to jumpstart your day!

In the market for a good juicer? I highly recommend a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer– it is simply amazing.

Have you considered juicing before?

I think I’d rank a juicer pretty high too ;) if only we had an inch of space here…because that sounds delicious!!

It so is!! We don’t have alot of space in our apartment so we have to keep ours on our kitchen table…oh well! Well worth it!hehe.

I’ve been thinking a lot about getting into juicing, thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!

I just started juicing again. I’m going to try this recipe! I’ve been doing a recipe with 3 red apples, 4 carrots, and 2 cups of spinach. Pretty Good!

      Oh, that sounds delish!!

I’ve been back and forth on this juicing thing. I just can’t justify the purchase as I’m picky with my appliances and would want a masticating juicer opposed to the cheaper centrifugal ones. So I think I’m going to stick to blending for now till I can afford a juicer (+ with the cost of produce in the islands, buying frozen veg/fruits is cheaper and sometimes the nutritional deets are better than produce sitting on a boat to Hawaii for days on end!).

I totally get you! It was definitely a big purchase but I am SO happy I finally have one! I did blending for years and it’s awesome too! :)

Green juice has always intimidated me! I guess because I figured it would taste like liquid salad. Lol. But hearing you talk so enthusiastically about it makes me want to try it…. Especially if there are apples in it! Yum! Thanks for getting my gears turning, Kayli.

Of course, Lauren and I’m glad the idea now sounds appealing to you! When I first started making my green smoothies (before juicing) I was EXTREMELY weary…but now that I know you can’t taste the spinach I throw in as much as I can!

I’ve seen a few green juice recipes, but I don’t think I’ve seen apples and cucumbers together in one. I’M INTRIGUED. I wasn’t about trying a green juice recipe, but you changed that. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

It was SO good! Hope you get to try it out soon, Crystal!

Kayli, I got a juicer in November and have been a girl obsessed! My favorite is beet juice with a little apple and spinach. This green juice sounds so good and nutritious.

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Ah, awesome, Amy!! I’ve heard that beets are awesome for juicing but I HATE them regularly…do they have a very distinct taste in the juice?? May have to take the plunge and just give it a whirl soon!

I used to be a major beet hater but then one day I was suddenly into them :) They do have a bit of a earthy taste in the juice so if you’re not on board with beets maybe add a lot more apples :)

I think I may just try that! Thanks, Amy!

Well now this sounds just scrumptious. Maybe I’ll be ambitious this weekend and try this recipe out :] I usually find most green based juices pretty bitter, but this one seems to be the happy medium.

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Definitely let me know if/when you try it out! It’s definitely not bitter- and I’m quite picky! ;)

I don’t have a juicer, but I can still understand your excitement. My Vitamix blender is the best thing I have in my kitchen!

    • http://www.kayliwanders.com/ Kayli Schattner

Ohhh, I’ve heard that Vitamix’s are incredible! Yay for good drink making appliances! ;)
