Telluride, CO: Day 2

Day two of our Telluride trip was relaxing, and I loved it! And let’s get one thing clear, I usually don’t enjoy “relaxing” vacations. Just ask G, he’ll tell you that I’m the annoying adventure traveler that will set our alarm at 5 a.m. to go out on an excursion of some sort while all he wants to do is sleep in and “lounge”…and may I ask, who the hell likes to do that? I didn’t just fork out my hard earned cash to lounge in bed, I can do that at home, thank you very much. But anyways, it was snowy, so lounge we did. And then we woke-up to get hot chocolate…and boy, did we hit the hot chocolate shops of all hot chocolate shops.

steaming bean coffee co in tellurideThe Steaming Bean is a shop that I cannot recommend enough! It serves the absolute best hot chocolate I have ever had. It’s located right on main street and has a creative, artsy vibe that I loved.

Have you ever been to Telluride? Would you want to go? Would you play me in Bananagrams? ;)

So beautiful! I am loving your CO pictures. I’ve never been myself, but it’s definitely on the bucket list now! Also I want to steal that Horror Show banner. haha

    • Kayli Schattner

Thanks, Jessica! And I want the banner too- we were in town during the Horror Movie festival and I wish we could have gone!

      • Jessica Dearinger

I think you just described my heaven.

  • Louisa @ My Family & Abruzzo

    Those views….beautiful!

    • Kayli Schattner

      They were stunning!

  • Postcards from Rachel

Well, now I want to travel to Colorado! We drove through a little over a year ago when we were heading to AZ from the Midwest, and I loved all of the small towns. That coffee shop makes me happy. :)

    • Kayli Schattner

It makes me quite happy myself :) I can’t wait to go back already!

  • Megan Joy

It looks like you three had an amazing day. I would have been in heaven in that bakery, and hot cocoa is always better when enjoyed with an beautiful view.

    • Kayli Schattner

      I definitely agree, Megan!

  • Katie @ The Style Dunce

Ooh, so pretty. Cute mountain towns are the best. Also, I love when you can tell siblings are siblings–you guys are so cute!

    • Kayli Schattner

I love this town- so small, you can walk everywhere! And thank you!! :) I have another sister too that couldn’t come along- but you can totally tell that the three of us are siblings!

  • Z K

This looks absolutely gorgeous! Each year my family goes to Montana to snowboard and ski, but this past year I was too burnt out to blog about it! Can’t wait to go back and document it. :]

    • Kayli Schattner

Ah, I can’t wait to see your recap!

  • Allie @ Between Dreams

Oh my goodness! You are an adorable one, aren’t you?! Loved these photos!

    • Kayli Schattner

      I’m glad you enjoyed, Allie!

  • Rachel Sedaker

Can I adopt you as my second little sister? Your idea of travel is just like mine- there is just so much world to explore! Relaxing is for home (or the beach). Ah, and hot chocolate, sign me up. I’ve loved seeing these pics, and wonder if a trip to CO is in my future.

    • Kayli Schattner

Exactly!! Great minds think alike. If I’m at the beach, it’s different- I’m fine lounging in the sun and reading a good book :) But even then, I usually get itchy and play in the waves or rent a bike! And you should definitely try to make it in the future- I’ve never been and am already itching to go back! Beautiful.

  • Raine and Skye

I’m with you on waking up early and hustling everyone out for day-long adventures. :D
Beautiful views and what I would give to zip right over to that hot chocolate store! I LOVE your travel posts.

    • Kayli Schattner

Thank you!! Travel posts are my favorite to write as they usually have the most passion behind them- it’s something I truly love to do.

  • Mo Olivas

It looks like you had fun! I’ve never been to a snowy place before! I’m the same type of traveler as you. I don’t want to relax. I want to go out and do or see as much as humanly possible! Also HOT CHOCOLATE! :) I have some right now! It’s cool finding another blogger in Arizona! I live down in Tucson, but my sister is up in Phoenix so I go visit her sometimes. :)

I am exactly as you are when it comes to traveling! I always want to go out and do, do, do things! I’d like to say that I have never been on a vacation before, because traveling always leaves me in need of a vacation ;) Love the picture of you and your sister! :)
